Tracy Thomas-Elleston

Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist (MSW, RSW)

Tracy is a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years of diverse counselling experience providing support to diverse client groups including children, adolescents, young adults and individuals. Her counselling style is client-centered, empathetic and compassionate.

Tracy uses a variety of treatment approaches including CBT, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). Tracy is both ASIST and Safe-Talk trained. Tracy’s goal is to provide you with a validating, safe and encouraging space in counselling, as she recognizes the importance of a healthy and trusting therapeutic relationship. Tracy values education and enlightenment on the path to exploring past patterns of behaviour and trauma as you work towards building new coping mechanisms and learning new strategies to manage adversity.

Tracy sees therapy as one tool for self-care and growth, and she sees herself as a
collaborative facilitator in this process. Her practice is embedded in a
trauma-informed, person-centered, intersectional, and anti-oppressive lens.
